Microabrasion

At Kathy Cosmetic Dentistry, we believe in maximizing the use of dental technology to improve the effectiveness of your treatment, the appearance of your smile and your experience at our office. If you have a small area of decay or a cavity, or if you have a discolored area on your tooth, Dr. Kathy Daroee can address the issue using a type of dental technology known as microabrasion in Woodland Hills, California.

Microabrasion uses a solution and mild abrasives to gently remove decayed material and is so gentle that in many cases, a local anesthetic may not be needed. It can also be used frequently in combination with regular tooth whitening treatments to remove spots from a tooth. Although the treatment may at first leave a rough spot on your tooth, that is easily repaired by the ingredients in your own saliva. In the case of repairing tooth decay, Microabrasion combined with a composite filling results in a healthier and more attractive smile. Microabrasion is a non-invasive way to address minor dental issues, and we look forward to telling you more about it during your visit with our dentist at our office.
