All-on-4® Dental Implants

If you have been living with missing teeth, dental implants can be an excellent investment for your smile. Dental implants look and feel natural and help promote a healthy and strong jawbone. But if you need to replace an entire arch of teeth, you may not want to do so with individual implants. However, you may have found that dentures tend to shift or float in your mouth, making it difficult for you to eat or speak properly and even causing discomfort. To learn about our alternative, you should contact Kathy Cosmetic Dentistry at 818-347-1550 and make an appointment with Dr. Kathy Daroee to learn more about All-on-4® dental implants in Woodland Hills, California.

All-on-4 restorations are also known as implant-supported dentures. They are a stable, durable way to replace an entire dental arch. Essentially, they are dentures that are attached to dental implants.

First, our dentist will surgically place titanium posts, or implants, into your jaw. In most cases, four implants are enough, although there may be instances in which six implants are required. Once the implant sites have healed, the denture will then snap into place. The implants keep your dentures stable and many people have said their All-on-4 dentures and implants feel just like natural teeth. Often, new dentures are custom made to fit the implants, but you may want to ask your current dentures can be retrofitted to your implants.
